
Activities of Daily Living
Bathing: ability to take a full body bath/shower, including transfer in and out of shower/bath. Tend to personal hygiene needs such as care of teeth, dentures, shaving, hair care dressing.
Dressing: ability to put on, fasten, and take off all clothing, ability to select appropriate attire for weather, etc.
Walking: without supervision or cues. Includes using a walker, or cane. May include ability to use steps inside or outside of home.
Toileting: ability to use toilet or commode, ability to transfer on and off toilet, cleanse self, change pads, care for ostomy or catheter in appropriate manner.
Transferring: without supervision or devices, in and out of a bed or chair.
Eating: ability to feed self, prepare own food on plate, drink from cup, use adaptive devices (if any).
